A few more mathematicians in action! Miss Parker’s fifth graders used the UPS✔️ strategy to divide fractions and Sheri Barfield & Drew Blocker’s friends measured items around them to create line plots!

Last week, Kristen Johnson and I had too much fun with our awesome teachers Lake Carolina Upper! We dove deep into some upcoming geometry standards, practiced incorporating hands-on activities, and talked about how the standards can be assessed. 🔺🔷📐

These sweet first graders Bookman Road Elementary can represent their subtraction and addition problems with drawings, no problem! Be sure to ask them to explain their answer too because they sure can!

A few weeks ago, Ms. Island and I cotaught subtraction (three-digit numbers and decimals) using concrete models! We had a great time working together to help her mathematicians grow!
