Local residents don't want the South Norwood LTNs. Neither do local councillors nor the MP. The officers' report shows no evidence they've achieved any of their objectives. Now the Mayor's admitted they're only in place to generate revenue. This is not OK. telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/02/1…
'These [LTN] schemes are not benefiting the wider community at all with no proven environmental benefits...It is a money raising exercise by a bankrupt and desperate council.' Jason Perry, Dec 2021. Two years later he waved them through. What changed? londonnewsonline.co.uk/news/decision-…
Reminder - Your Croydon's decision to go ahead with 6 of 7 'LTNs' isn't the result of solid evidence of the benefits. The officers' report revealed the original objectives for the schemes were either not met, or not proven to be met due to inadequate data croydoncc.wordpress.com/2024/02/14/ope…
On Healthy Neighbourhoods, Christopher Herman Shadow Cab Member asked Tory Exec Mayor “listening to Croydon” Perry for the rationale behind his FlipFlop making LTN schemes permanent in direct contradiction with his manifesto pledge to do away with LTNs 👀 🤷🏽♀️🤷♂️🤔

Open Our Roads campaign challenge recommendation going to Croydon Cabinet TONIGHT re LTNs croydoncc.wordpress.com/2024/02/14/ope… via Open Our Roads
Not surprisingly, Your Croydon's report calling for their 'LTNs' to be made permanent isn't fit for purpose. We can only hope that someone at tonight's Cabinet Meeting has the intelligence to ask some serious questions - newsfromcrystalpalace.wordpress.com/2024/02/13/blo…
“What happens when ideology and wishful thinking trump evidence-based policy? The answer, in case-study form, is low traffic neighbourhoods (LTNs)” - Andrew Ellson in today’s The Times and The Sunday Times. It's time for an apology from the Your Croydon officials responsible - thetimes.co.uk/article/why-lo…
Today’s The Times and The Sunday Times article by Andrew Ellson quotes National Audit Office report criticising “poor implementation of [LTN] schemes in places where plans had not been developed before the pandemic and local communities were not adequately consulted”. In other words, the Your Croydon playbook.
At long last TfL admit what Crystal Palace residents knew all along - the Auckland Rd “LTN” simply diverted traffic. This is what happens when local councillors make terrible decisions and cross their fingers. Shame on those responsible. The Telegraph telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/04/2…
Still no apology from the small group of pro LTN campaigners called AucklandRoadSBS who published wildly inaccurate data which sought to mislead their neighbours, local councillors & Croydon Council officers during the LTN consultation process. Disappointing, but not surprising.
It's now over 300 days since you were elected. When will you be acting on your pre-election pledge to remove the LTNs that you believe 'are having a huge detrimental impact on our communities' Jason Perry - Executive Mayor of Croydon?
