These aid workers-and the ppl of Gaza they were there to help-all goddamn deserve to be safe. But what are we really saying here? Safe..from what? Safe from whom? How long can this sick ritual go on of thoughtsing & prayersing the victims while funding & arming the perpetrators?

I really want people to learn the difference between 'friends' and 'friendly.'

Plenty of people will be friendly with you who have no intention of being your friend. Politeness is not intimacy. It's etiquette.

Some takeaways after my conversation with a hospice nurse of 12 years based on her experience:

1) Many people will not pass away unless they feel ready and this can sometimes mean getting their hair washed, being shaved, or having a bowel movement.
