It easy to say 'leaders lead' but harder to make a reality. On Wednesday x - LA Kings received a master class in lead by example from their leadership group in a 5-4 OT thriller in Edmonton that evened this series at one game apiece.

On the dramatic proceedings in Edmonton in Game 2 where the Kings defeated the Oilers 5-4 in OT. As usual Zach Dooley has the goods.

The Los Angeles lead lasts less than two minutes as Dylan Holloway snipes one from the right side. Holloway's second of the night. All tied up at 4-4.

Edmonton capitalizes on their second power play. Vladislav Gavrikov has a chance to clear but can't and Leon Draisaitl finds Zach Hyman show scores his fourth of the series. All tied up 3-3 with nine minutes to go in the second.

Rogers Place is rocking as Dylan Holloway eats into the Kings' lead with a snipe from the slot. 3-2 Kings approaching mid-point of the game.

An absolute rocket from Brett Kulak near the top of the circle makes it 2-1 but the Kings answer immediately with a Drew Doughty goal on a breakaway. It's all happening. 3-1 Kings with 1:58 left in the first.

Call on ice is confirmed. Still Kings 2-0 with 4:26 to play in the first.

Wild scramble around Cam Talbot. Haven't seen any kind of replay that shows the puck made it into the net. Call on the ice is no goal.

Late in the first another moment from Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe as Kempe deftly bats a Kopitar pass out of mid-air to give the Kings a 2-0 lead.

Kings kill the first Oilers PP of the night. Two nice stops from Talbot. Could've killed it sooner when Kempe was tripped up in the neutral zone, preventing a shorthanded 2-on-1.

1-0 LAK, 9:15 in.

Just 3:19 into Game 2 and x - LA Kings have their first lead of the series. Terrific pass from Anze Kopitar to Adrian Kempe in the slot after the Kings forced an Oiler turnover.
