I came to the UK as an Afghan refugee with no English. Education was - and still is - not an option for girls in Afghanistan. I am proud to say I passed my PhD UCL with no corrections.🥳

One of the trainees had the daunting job of processing a book with unopened leaves today. This means that the pages of the book are still joined together at the fold and need to be very carefully opened with a letter opener – not a task for the faint-hearted!
