#EleanorPowell was clearly enjoying herself as she rode in an open convertible at the Santa Claus Lane Parade in 1940. Typically held the first Sunday after Thanksgiving, it was considered the opening of the Christmas shopping season. PaulaBroussard University Press of Kentucky #TCMParty
Another fun fact is that she worked with Mr. Morgan of the Hollywood Capezio store to design a prototype shoe/skate that she could do a dance number with. He made up several samples and they were tested out, but never used in a number. Lisa Royère
