‘rebates’ ?
They are legalized kickbacks.
PBM have the right to accept kickbacks from pharma companies.
Yep… the corporates that decide which drugs get covered can be paid by the drug makers Free2Care

.Bernie Sanders U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D., have you seen this ?
Big PBMs, owned BIG insurance, choose a more expensive preventative med to cover.
They know darn well, some patients cannot afford the co-pays on the pricier med.
Why choose the pricier med? 💵

Optum employs 10% of physicians in the US, making it even easier to commit fraud via coding and help themselves to Medicare 💰
Why does ANYONE have trust for the 3 big PBM?

BREAKING yet unsurprising news regarding alleged criminal activity by Optum.

Whistleblowers have provided recordings of a seeming plot to defraud American taxpayers.

Cannot emphasize the need for all U.S. physicians to have an alternative to the ABMS/ACGME monopoly on continuing professional development market this way. Please take the time to help create an alternative to MOC. It will pay off in the future 👇

I just deactivated by 'voluntary' expired 10-yr cardiovascular board certificate to avoid ongoing fees of $220 per year (with $40 late fees) annually since 2022 from @ABIMCert. That's the tweet.

The medical buying cartel is so bad that the firms involved, called Group Purchasing Organizations, actually direct bribes to hospital executives in return for adhering to their sole supply agreements. That's why new suppliers can't enter the market. mattstoller.substack.com/p/the-villains…

Real Doc Speaks Ty for calling it what it is. 'Rebate' = legalized safe-harbor enabled KICKBACKS (GPOs were the orig. safe-harbor kickback exemption).

W/o repealing we can't re-shore drugs/supplies w/o sig. increased costs b/c then ltd./sole manuf. in a protected market (think steel tariffs).

Let’s call rebates what they really are

“These legalized bribes directly impact the price consumers pay for drugs.”

PBM industry is in dire need of reform. Delinking drug prices from PBM income and requiring PBMs to pass through discounts, rebates and other price concessions are critical steps in the right direction.

With this move, American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) went from a credentialing body to a reporting shill for the insurance and hospital industry - all at our expense. Time for IRS to review American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and determine: are they a business or nonprofit entity? IRS Tax Pros DOJ Inspector General
