Very good. Under 17 Car Club u17cc.org is another organisation working hard in this area to improve young driver standards, which could have a large positive impact on terrible stats for people killed and seriously injured on our roads.

I’m interested in the ways to improve young driver training as a method of tackling the high level of newly-qualified drivers killed and seriously injured - page 11. Some AA comments on tax and EVs will stir debate, but the safety stuff is key.

Really good analysis of mid-range electric cars by Alex Robbins in the Telegraph today. Spoiler alert: the Skoda Enyaq comes out well vs Tesla, Volvo etc

In the studio tonight, to question why absolutely nothing is being done to change the way we prepare young drivers for life on the road, despite strong evidence of how to cut the rising death rate. With Jo Kent on BBC South and featuring Edmund King OBE

A freight train has derailed at West Ealing. All GWR and Elizabeth Line trains to Paddington affected. Appears the loco came off the tracks but not wagons, which are normally used to carry fuel. Happened before 0630.

Filming a very disruptive four-month closure of the main north-south road across Salisbury Plain. It’s to install power cables for the Stonehenge tunnel. The tunnel has yet to clear the final legal hurdles, but this is early preparatory work on the ground. A303 Stonehenge

Paul Clifton Driver H. Potter Peter Mugridge Graham Eccles It would be remiss of the Minions not to mention that there is an appeal afoot which hopes to make slam doors at Waterloo (and elsewhere) something everyone can enjoy again!

A retweet would be very much appreciated!

Blimey. I had forgotten that day: the last slam-door train at Waterloo. Thanks for finding it - not seen this in a couple of decades! Driver H. Potter - one for you!
