Today I wanted to tweet about something not WWII related, but to share the story of the Victoria Pioneer Rifle Corps. This unit was an all Black militia stood up in British Columbia in 1860-1866.

The incomparable Mr. Paul Hicks very kindly sent along a handful (no pun intended) of elves from his upcoming Kickstarter, and now I'm faced with the abject terror of trying to decide how to paint them!
