“I am Rebel” by Ross Montgomery is wonderful.
Rebel is the truly best of dogs and his journey to find Tom is who goes off to join the rebellion is a fantastic story. Full of adventure, memorable characters and with Jaxon truly beautiful friendship that makes both better. Fab!

Nush and the Stolen Emerald by Jasbinder Bilan - I'm meant to be writing... (front cover by David Dean) is a fantastically exciting adventure story set in Jaisalmer and London during the 19th century. Touches on many areas, family dynamics, equality, colonialism, with a very deft touch. A great book for Y5/6.
