(1) the vast majority of people have good intent - always start from that position
(2) when things go wrong it’s usually a process or system that hasn’t delivered - not because someone is malign (1/6)

After 36yrs in the NHS starting as a v naive student nurse & finishing with Elective & Emergency Care Improvement Support Team, someone asked me what I’d learnt. If stuff doesn’t make sense to most of those doing the work it probably doesn’t make sense. Keep things simple. Look after your people.
