Equally worrying that the distressing news is that there is no clear alternative route by which all healthcare staff can access timely, evidence-based care for #mentalhealth difficulties. Stopping a successful programme with no credible, defined, alternative is nonsensical.

It's notable that #mentalhealth (MH) is the most common reason people are absent from work. The argument for proactive, evidence based approaches to prevent, & mitigate, poor MH is strong. Psychologically savvy supervisors, peer support & periodic reflective practice can all help
What's important is that managers can confidently speak with staff about their #mentalhealth . Most distressed staff benefit from being listened to & supported with temporary reasonable adjustments where necessary. If problems are severe/persistent, OH professionals can advise
