The Minister for Europe spends a lot of time travelling around the region and plays an important role in 🇬🇧 ‘energetic bilateralism’ (Docherty’s own words in Lords European Affairs Committee in 2023 👇). This role is much more important post Brexit, especially for bilateral relations.
