Big night at British Library: Dr Mykaell Riley & Dr Aleema Gray open Beyond the Bassline. As Aleema said, not end point but ongoing conversation on role of Black British music on society, culture and politics - and on core duty of libraries to preserve the stories that count.
The ‘Beyond the baseline’ exhibition about 500 years of Black British music is officially open! Huge congratulations to Dr Aleema Gray Dr Mykaell Riley and everyone at the British Library who worked so hard to deliver this incredible show.
