A beautiful sunny Thursday, brilliant birdsong and a search for an American avian visitor - take a look at our latest sightings blog from volunteer Graham Jacobs.

There is so much song on the nature reserve at the moment 🎵. Occasionally, I try to ignore the urge to identify all of the different voices and instead just sit and enjoy the sound.

We've had an influx of spring migrants and now you can hear Blackcap, Common Whitethroat, Willow Warbler and Sedge Warbler amongst the choir. If you want to learn how to distinguish the different voices, take a look at our upcoming workshops:

A beautiful sunny day with plentiful birds and a nice selection of butterflies too. Coming in after I'd photographed the board was our star bird of the day - male Pied Flycatcher found in Black Wood (on the heathland trail down towards Hail's View) - nice find Chris, Juliet et al

Birds, blossom, butterflies and Bluebells; spring is my favourite season at Pulborough Brooks.
New spring arrivals are adding their voices to our dawn chorus, the Bluebells are starting to flower and we're still enjoying regular sightings of the White-tailed Eagle.
