Burton Mere Wetlands is well known for its wide array of birds, but if you're lucky there's a chance of seeing the odd one or two furry friends when you visit, like enigmatic #WaterVoles or perhaps a stealthy #Stoat . #NationalMammalWeek

Please note that we will not open until 09.30 tomorrow to allow pothole repairs to take place.
It's finally dried out enough to patch up the potholes.
To give the wardens a little extra time the reserve will open slightly later this Friday (19) @ 9:30am.
For safety and to protect the surface please keep to 10mph. Thank you.

Had a wander around RSPB Burton Mere Wetlands and Burton Point this morning. The highlight was 3 smart summer-plumaged Spotted Sandpipers, but also saw Ruddy Shelduck, Willow Warbler and several Northern Wheatears.
