Looking forward to this conversation at the top of the hour. Though predicting what Musk will do next is a bit of a challenge. twitter.com/i/spaces/1yoJM…

Once again @emilybender does an invaluable service deconstructing how we journalists overhype AI. I live in terror she'll take apart one of my pieces one day

(Trying this again without the typo): Had a fascinating talk with Satya Nadella about gaming, the metaverse, and what it all means for the future of software and online competition: ft.com/tech-exchange

My piece on Musk. Love the comments section: 'Peak Musk', say some, but in general a recognition of what he's done. Elon Musk: Interview with FT’s Person of the year ft.com/content/a7f75d…

You have to love the way Elon Musk has turned what could have been seen as a CEO dumping $20bn of personal stock at the height of a bubble into a debate about tax accountability in which he's cast as the responsible one. Genius!

$GME is fascinating on many levels, but some perspective needed. $20bn of market cap is not nothing (and will hurt a lot of people when it evaporates) - but Apple shed 4x that amount today. This revolt looks pretty marginal

The FT has a vacancy for an accounting correspondent. This is one of the biggest, juiciest beats at the FT. Unfortunately, you would be following Tabby Kinder and Madison Marriage who both smashed it but don't let that put you off. ft.wd3.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/FT_Exter…

Also fascinating from Thuê xe máy Tam Kỳ. Why five star reviews aren't what they seem.

Of note: we've seen a cluster of confirmed cases within a relatively small area around New York City. The fulfillment centre in the middle - 'JFK9' on Staten Island - is home to more than 2,000 employees.
