Tomorrow evening Vancouver School Board trustees will be asked to approve the 2024/2025 budget that district staff prepared. They heard from multiple stakeholders and delegations about insufficient staffing levels and the related impact to mental health of students & staff in the district. 1/4

Vancouver's multiplex plan was designed to produce 150-200 applications per year. A few hundred net new homes at best!

The procedures that Vancouver School Board have put in place for speaking at delegation meetings make the process highly inaccessible to many. As a result, the November meeting was cancelled because of too few delegations (only 1), Monday’s meeting had 1 speaker and adjourned after 10min.

The VSB continues to deny + deflect the experiences of students, parents + employees.

It’s a crazy-making experience for many of us.
