For #InternationalWomensDay2024 , we asked 'As a woman leader in medicine, what advice would you offer the next generation of women leaders hoping to make their contributions to the field?' We'll be sharing their responses throughout the day.

'Put yourself forward for any role that interests you, even if you don’t think that you have all the qualifications. Job descriptions are aspirational, few people meet all the criteria. Don’t take yourself out of the running.

'My advice to future woman leaders would be to set goals - big or small, short-term or long-term - and to work towards them by taking advantage of all of the resources around you, but to stay flexible too since you don't know what new opportunities may arise.
