5 years on from the abortion referendum and still women are travelling abroad to access care because they are excluded here. The #RTEInvestigates documentary from Aoife Hegarty is giving those people a badly needed voice. This is not what we voted for.

Reminder that the Citizens Assembly recommended abortion up to 22 weeks for socio economic reasons. But only 4-5 politicians voted for this. Now we see several hundred women still #forcedtotravel . If we agree it’s the person’s choice, why criminalise and export? #rteinvestigates

Watching #RTEInvestigates : reminded that if more that just 5 political reps listened to the Citizens Assembly & had guts (and humanity) then there wouldn’t be people still #forcedtotravel with foetuses in the boot of their car.
