Year 1 have had a busy week! The beans that we have grown were planted, we will now watch them grow. We have made Easter nests in RE and we have made bird feeders using cheerios, we have hung these in the trees around school for the birds.

Year 6 lunchtime club have helped to set up the new fish tank for ‘Bob” our school fish.

In D&T, Year 5 have been looking at the work of architects Kunlé Adeyemi and Ray Mears. The children have taken inspiration from their designs to have a go at making their own shelter. These are just prototypes at the minute. Keep your eyes open for the finished shelters soon.

Year One have been exploring different media. They have looked at the artist Monet and created artwork in his style.

Year 1 have created artwork in the style of the Artist Claude Monet. We researched his works and experimented with different media. We then chose our favourite media for our final piece. The children worked very hard and created some amazing artwork. #Art

In science week Year 1 have been looking for signs of Spring in our outdoor learning sessions. A few weeks ago we planted bean seeds and we looked at how they have grown and what they have needed to grow. We measured the beans and recorded their growth in our bean diaries.

Early Years had a fantastic day at Blackpool Zoo yesterday. They loved looking and learning about the different animals. We even saw a baby orangutang! #BlackpoolZoo #Animals #EYFS
