Every side effect going seemed to effect Ruddi and they were awful, mouth ulcers and sickness were pretty gruesome and the infections often saw us back in hospital or worse.. ICU.. But the worst by far for me as his mum was the day my boy lost his hair.

Radiotherapy = internal or external

Ruddi had the external type PROTON.
He does have side effects up to this day and probably always will, but I say it again…

He is here and we are so unbelievably lucky

Chemotherapy = Brutal
We need kinder treatments, current chemo used on kids is at least 40 years old. There have been very little advancements in this area. The treatment alone can kill your child.
It made Ruddi desperately ill ☹️🎗️

Ruddi’s surgery was about 8 hours long, the team of 3 top surgeons successfully removed most of the tumour, unfortunately they took his prostate & bladder leaving him unable to father children naturally and wearing a urostomy bag.
He was in intensive care for a week 🎗️ #CCAM
