Glad to share the final version (published in the Feb issue) of the Spotlight I wrote for Trends in Endocrinology & Metabolism on the paper by Dr. Rudy Tanzi and Se Hoon Choi reporting that irisin, an exercise-induced hormone, promotes amyloid-β degradation in an AD model.

We also assessed cis regulatory elements associated with differentially expressed genes. In CD8 T cells, we detected a cis regulatory element associated with CXCR3 expression. CXCR3 was recently shown by Mehdi Jorfi and Dr. Rudy Tanzi to mediate homing of CD8 T cells to 3D AD cultures.
