Amazingly Garden Warbler is a new species for the garden today. All the more amazing as it is species #122 and long overdue. Brief views as it stayed in the depths of the bush. Herts Bird News #Hertsbirds

Really pleased to relocate the elusive Woodchat Shrike on my Cornish ‘home’ patch on The Lizard 😊 Had to dodge over-excited bullocks but had great views to the calls of Oystercatchers & Whimbrel with a locally rare Cetti’s Warbler thrown in for good measure too! Cornwall Birds

Despite the wind at Stanborough GPs this evening some good birds - a distant Curlew in the big field & growing numbers of hirundines, Yellow & Pied Wagtails with a few White Wags too. Herts Bird News #hertsbirds

It’s not often that the blackbird I see flying over while driving actually sports a bright white breast band! It did the decent thing & sat in a tree briefly calling loudly before flying on. This male Ring Ouzel becomes #117 for my 5 mile from home list☺️ @hertsbirds #hertsbirds
