It is #Adaptation , Loss and Damage day at #COP26 . Did You Know… At CGG Environmental Science, we are working with SEACAMS2 at Bangor University to integrate lab-based analysis with machine learning-led object detection to analyse marine species and habitats on the seafloor.
It was great to have 🌿pati głaz🐙 helping with our lab work over the last few weeks through a paid Ocean Sciences summer internship. She helped process seabed samples collected from the #RVPrinceMadog . Lots of amphipods to test our ID skills on (note the colours are not natural!)
Roedd yn wych cael 🌿pati głaz🐙 i helpu gyda'n gwaith labordy dros yr wythnosau diwethaf trwy interniaeth haf Gwyddorau Eigion . Helpodd i brosesu samplau o wely'r môr a gasglwyd gan y #RVPrinceMadog . Llawer o amffipodau i roi ein sgiliau adnabod ar brawf.

First leg of our final research cruise was very successful with camera, grab, beam trawl and acoustic sampling around #Anglesey . Now we are sailing further afield for more #seabed and sub-bottom surveys. Welsh European Funding Office Ocean Sciences Timothy Whitton Tim Jackson-Bué (D'Urban Jackson)
Good bye Menai Bridge for the final SEACAMS2 Prince Madog cruise. We're undertaking collaborative research with businesses to support the development of the Marine Renewable sector in Wales. Timothy Whitton and Tim Jackson-Bué (D'Urban Jackson) leading first part of cruise.
Very proud of our very own Timothy Whitton for winning the prize for most groundbreaking research to solve an industry problem for the @EIMR2020. Now go and enjoy the bank holiday weekend Tim.
