If your payment date is on a bank holiday, you’ll usually be paid the working day before.

If you're due a payment between Friday 29 March and Monday 1 April over the bank holiday, you'll receive it by end of Thursday 28 March.

All other payment dates remain the same.

Young people or care leavers that have both been out of work and on certain benefits could be eligible to apply for Job Start Payment.

Scottish Child Payment is only available in Scotland and helps with the costs of supporting children.

It's £100 paid every 4 weeks and you may be eligible if you get qualifying benefits and have a child or children aged up to 16.

Unpaid carers in Scotland who get Carer's Allowance have started to have their awards moved to Carer Support Payment. You don't need to do anything as your award will transfer automatically to Social Security Scotland, with all awards expected to be transferred by Spring 2025.
