It's 2024. Why are newly announced children's books adding disability to characters as proof they are 'disgusting'? As children's authors, it's our duty to write for *all* children, including children with eye prostheses or blind children.

Respected children's writers and illustrators and a whole organisation and a whole publishing team get together and agree, in this plague year 2024, that the most disgusting thing to add to The Twits is ... a visible disability. Scrap this now PuffinBooks and do so much better.

I wish outlets wouldn't lead with Netanyahu saying the attack was 'unintentional'. It's a logical impossibility. As reported in Haaretz, they fired on three different vehicles concurrently until every person was dead. That means they intentionally killed everyone.

'Every opportunity must be grabbed. Every event must be accepted. Every date in the diary must be booked and then double-booked. If I work harder then we’ll do better.'

I think most of us could benefit from Max Minerva’s Marvellous Books & More' piece today, booksellers or no.

I did my undergrad at Goldsmiths (in media and modern literature) and it set me up as a writer and thinker in ways reflected daily in my work. Some of your favourite writers started here and/or teach here, and it’s being torn apart.
