Our Year 13 English Literature students recently visited the Seamus Heaney Home where they participated in a tour of the exhibits, attended a lecture by Dr Frank Ferguson from Ulster University and took part in workshops on the poetry of Heaney and Robert Frost, in preparation for their AS.

On Monday 19th February, our Year 13 English literature class visited the Seamus Heaney Homeplace in Bellaghy. They met with University of Ulster lecturer, Frank Ferguson and learned all about the importance of interpretation of poetry.

Seamus Heaney Home Noel McGee in I, Kavanagh was brilliant this afternoon - so good to see a full house & well deserved. A great acting achievement but to have also written the piece, deftly weaving life & work - astonishing. Links to Heaney so obvious from this immersive performance.
