HAPPY WORLD BOOK DAY! 5 years ago today during our successful campaign to save libraries in Essex, children from schools in Galleywood hugged their library. The children were determined to SAVE OUR LIBRARIES! Children understand the value of libraries.

7 years ago, I told the Taskforce that public libraries were in a burning building (Local Government) and that we could either get them out into a National Library Service or see what we had left when the fire had burnt itself out. Nobody listened then, will they now?
