Great to have SWT Lound Lakes Warden out on the softrack today improving habitat in front of tower hide SWT Carlton Marshes . Keeping our #fen areas cut and grazed is a key part of our #wetland management

Please be advised that there will be a 5 minute walk to the centre from the alternative car park and disabled parking bays are unavailable during this period.

📢Visitor Notice – Carlton Marshes. Between 12th-30th June, Burnt Hill Lane will be closed due to roadworks. The reserve and visitor centre are open as usual, with alternative car parking arrangements for the visitor centre in place. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

There are still some places left on our Evening Chorus walk tomorrow evening. Enjoy a light supper at the cafe at 5.00pm then head out onto the reserve with a warden and local experts.

The last count for our winter Wetland Bird Surveys today. Petos was chock full including the eastern yellow wagtail that continues to attract visitors. Good numbers of teal and snipe especially on the rest of the reserve 👍 Suffolk Bird Group BirdGuides Waveney Bird Club

On Wednesdays and Fridays, 9.30-3.30pm, our SWT Carlton Marshes Visitor Centre activity room will be a Warm Room; a welcoming space for anyone struggling with heating costs during colder months. With special thanks to East Suffolk Council. Starting this week until the end of March 2023.
