Our first El Nino brief is now live on our FoSTA Health project project website. Building from our analysis of drivers of drought in Malawi rmets.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/jo… we analyse this year's rainfall season to date & the impacts being faced in southern Malawi.

For me, this week has been University of Leeds life at its best. I've loved seeing and discussing interdisciplinary food systems research, education, facilities and partnerships with cross-faculty and international colleagues. It's what GlobalFood@Leeds is all about.

What a week so far!

The focus of today's International Food Systems Research Week session is research.

The event will feature 8 short presentations/lightning talks from food systems researchers ahead of a research funding scanning workshop tomorrow.

In case you didn't know, the University of Leeds research farm is pretty amazing. Just had a fantastic day with our FoSTA Health project visitors, learning about the CIELivestock and regenerative agriculture research that's happening there.

Another busy week for me and GlobalFood@Leeds welcoming a large group for an International Food Systems Week at University and Earth and Environment at Leeds. Lots of exciting discussion and a visit to the The University of Leeds Research Farm planned.
