We’ll be looking at how light and colour can impact our artwork. Using a projector, unusual shapes will be cast on the walls of the Victorian Gallery to light the space, and the model, in new ways.

We aren't sure of the date of this photo, but it is interesting to see how much the Crescent has changed!

What object from our collection has an interesting story?

This pedal car dates from the early 1950s and was used as a child’s seat in salons.

You can see a young boy in the car at Eileen & Bernards in Prestwich in ca. 1960. It was lasted used in Bernards in Swinton in 2003.

On this day in 1974, the Greater Manchester Borough was created.

To celebrate its 50-year anniversary, we found an enamel badge from our collections. It was given to Eccles schoolchildren to commemorate the end of the Borough in Eccles in March 1974.
