I agree we need to move away from ABIM (a group that only thinks about making money off of physicians) but I would also ask why do we need a certification? is medical school+residency/fellowship and ongoing CME not enough? Just asking…

If I maintain all 3 of my ABIM boards (IM,heme, onc) for my career I will spend > $40,000! Not taking into account ABIM will raise fees many times over next few decades. End the extortion!

How about we get rid of MOC unless they can show real unbiased date that it improves care? CME is enough! We are professionals.
