Throughout, they have shown such dignity showing compassion and empathy even for staff who have grossly let their family down.

When you hear the numbers of Palestinians slaughtered in Gaza, when you read the statistics, remember:

There is a name. There were hopes and dreams.

Tonight I voted for a ceasefire to help bring an end to this carnage.

I am devastated that not enough other MPs did the same.

I voted to call for a ceasefire.

Bombing hospitals and refugee camps is not self-defence. Neither is depriving two million people of food, water and fuel.

We must demand an immediate end to hostilities, unconditional release of all hostages and the lifting of the siege of Gaza.

voting to put an end to the indiscriminate bombing of an unarmed civilian population - nearly half of whom are children - should not be a fringe position.

In my nearly 4 years as an MP, I've been contacted by more constituents about Gaza and the call for a ceasefire than any other policy issue.

I am sure the same is true for other MPs.

We should listen to our constituents – and 76% of the public – and back an immediate ceasefire.

Happened 3 days after Suella Braverman called homelessness a “lifestyle choice”.

So David Cameron is to sit in the House of Lords ('taking back control from unelected officials anyone?') in order to be Foreign Secretary - which means he won't be able to be questioned by MPs in the chamber over foreign policy. Doesn't seem very 21st century.

David Cameron isn’t a “safe pair of hands”. He’s the man who:

- Introduced austerity which led to 330,000 excess deaths
- Led the disastrous bombing of Libya
- Called the EU referendum and lost it
- Used his connections to lobby for Greensill

Rishi Sunak is scraping the barrel.

This isn’t just about Brexit, David Cameron’s political legacy is the Windrush scandal, the end of Sure Start centres, austerity killing tens of thousands, the hostile environment, climate denial and immense harm to ordinary people. This is a terrifying abuse of power.

Staff at Shifa Hospital have shared this photo of their heroic attempts to keep the premature babies alive in an operating theatre after they were forced to shut down the NICU. Taken 6pm today.

Attacks on the hospital must end, and aid must be allowed to reach it. #CeasefireNOW
