One of our 'senior' #Veterans at Whitefoord House, Carl Prendergast, has celebrated his 80th birthday! Carl, who was born in Jamaica, served in the Royal Signals, and was joined by residents and staff as he celebrated his milestone with some birthday cake and refreshments 🎂🥂

Today we say a final goodbye to Veteran Danny Sutherland, a former Colour Sergeant with The Royal Scots, who was a resident with SVR at Whitefoord House until last year, before he returned to Inverness to be with his family. Danny passed away on 9 March, aged 87.

It was our pleasure to welcome the Governor of Edinburgh Castle, Major-General Alastair Bruce to Whitefoord House today, where he was briefed on SVR's work supporting #Veterans , before opening our new gym (thank you Veterans’ Foundation!) and enjoying lunch and a chat with residents.

It was a pleasure to welcome Housing Minister Paul McLennan - MSP for East Lothian to Whitefoord House yesterday, where he saw first-hand how we provide accommodation & support to #Veterans who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or in need. He also attended the Veterans Scotland Housing Group.
