Dalbeattie Men's Shed kindly hosted the Dumfries and Galloway Men's Shed Network Meeting chaired by Age Scotland.

Wessex Insurance and Sheds from Lockerbie, Port William, Kirkdale, Castle Douglas and Glenkens attended.

SMSA attended the Inaugural General Meeting of Troon Men's Shed offering support to adopt their constitution & elect committee members & office bearers. Now up and running they will be working with the local school and Railway Heritage Trust and looking for suitable premises 🥳

Aberchirder MS is making benches for the Jubilee Hospital Garden, Huntly and will provide the summer bedding.

Foggie has a very active model railway section & on Fridays they host a soup kitchen for their community and they will also be trialing a Saturday opening 👍

SMSA visited Aberchirder & District Men's Shed. Shedders have been busy planting tatties and raising plants from seed. Their produce will be sold at farmers' markets. The local school has their own outdoor raised bed and one in the polytunnel.

SMSA visited Midmar Men's Shed to see the groundworks and foundations for their new shed. Shedders do so much for their community inc. raised beds for the school, maintenance work for the village hall and grounds, repairs of the canopy for the local well and Comers Bridge rebuild

Bridge of Don Shed is on the cusp of assembling their polytunnel for intergenerational growing projects with the neighbouring school and to sell produce at the Farmers' Market. They've already designed trophies for growing competitions such as the tallest sunflower 🌻

Maryburgh Men's Shed has made considerable progress with new windows in and the hair salon they are hosting almost complete.

Donated pallets are making kindlers for the community and nesting boxes for a partnership with Maryburgh Community Woodland 👏👍
