Tonight I got a call to let me know a man’s going around Eccles telling people not to vote Labour in May because “it’s a muslim”

I’m proud being first Muslim elected in Salford. Racism is tough, but nothing will stop me standing to represent the people of Eccles again this May

Another #TeamEccles evening well spent talking to residents about road safety and new crossings around Monton Green.

Last week we welcomed the Lord Lieutenant of GM to Eccles Mosque to show her all the great things the Muslim community in Eccles and Salford are doing. It was lovely to have members from Irlam & Cadishead and Langworthy Mosques join to tell us about their communities as well.
