Our #LifetimeAchievement #MayorsAwards is presented to Eric Smith. His soft dulcit tones wafted over the airwaves for more than 26 years in this county. He has delighted thousands of us at the panto and kick starting Christmas festivities and Carols in the Square.

Our final award of the evening is #LifetimeAchievement #MayorsAwards . Given to reward dedication to Shrewsbury over a long period of time, promoting the town’s values as a wonderful place to live work and visit.
Our final #MayorsSpecial #MayorsAwards is presented to Kate Merriman SaTH. Kate is a Consultant vascular surgeon at Shrewsbury & Telford Hospitals. Kate has established diabetes foot awareness across Shropshire which has helped avoid foot amputations linked with diabetes.
Our 7th #MayorsSpecial #MayorsAwards goes to Shrewsbury Food Hub. Shrewsbury Food Hub’s vision is a community where food is valued and not wasted. It is a volunteer-powered charity that redistributes surplus food and promotes food waste reduction for environmental and social good
Our 6th #MayorsSpecial #MayorsAwards goes to ShrewsOswCrucialCrew. Shrewsbury & Oswestry Crucial Crew provides today’s children with an opportunity to acquire essential life skills at an impressionable time in their development.
Our 5th #MayorsSpecial #MayorsAwards goes to Amanda Jones Shropshire Supports Refugees. Amanda has supported the Ukranian refugees by ensuring they have clothing food shelter and support from our community and helping with integrating children into new schools and education.
Our 4th #MayorsSpecial #MayorsAwards goes to Richard Canfor-Taylor. Richard has kindly helped the mayor with some of her charity work and sponsored the masquerade ball and also kindly donated a holiday to Gran Canaria as an auction prize
