Last Friday saw another opportunity for some great shared learning with South Yorkshire Fire for our 3rd Yr #studentparamedics . They joined the latest recruits course for their final afternoon of their RTC week. Some brilliant exposure to vehicle extrication & joint-working JESIP AHP SHU

Opportunity to put some environmental pressures into our #simulation active learning scenarios thanks to Community Safety. Our 2nd Year #studentparamedics hard at work with their learning this week. AHP SHU

Thanks to the support of students from Rotherham College our #simulations can be enhanced with wounds & make-up to make our patients look more realistic. All geared towards making learning more life-like. AHP SHU

Our module team have just spent 3-days with our 2nd year #studentparamedics at Community Safety. With the support of Rotherham College we’ve facilitated 10 trauma sims per day for our students to practice their assessment & management AHP SHU. Some great learning opportunities.

Yesterday half our 3rd yr #studentparamedics had 2 great sessions, Jake Balla of Yorkshire Ambulance with Mental Health complexities & then Keith from East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust sharing knowledge surrounding Major incidents & #MassCasualty incidents. Thanks for supporting our students learning

This week as part of their #Trauma module our 2nd yr #studentparamedics have been been learning about Mass Casualty triage using #TST . Sorting through numbers of patients quickly to deliver Life Saving Interventions & triage, “do the most for the most”. NARU Education AHP SHU
