Community-centers are a crucial support system for caregivers, along with community-level Children's Collectives which empower them about their rights and entitlements, says #poojayadav as she focuses on the implementation of #familystrengthening under Prerana's Project Aashiyana

Priti Patkar from Prerana explained about what is family strengthening and reasons why families want to put their children in hostels/child care institutions (CCIs). She gave an example of how a child is in a CCI for 10 years and now is reluctant to rehabilitate with family.

During her intervention, Sandhyaa shed light on the various reasons that lead children’s institutionalization.
She also talked about Miracle Foundation India’s 'Thrive Scale' methodology-a comprehensive assessment tool to measure & improve various aspects of a family’s wellbeing.
