In Music, Year 2 have been learning Friendship Song by CharangaMusic. They listened and appraised other songs on the theme before creating a whole class performance of the song. In partners, they are writing their own verse to sing to the tune. 🧡Catholic Primary Partnership🧡 #StGerMusic
Children in Y5 have been conducting interviews this afternoon! After learning the story of Lazarus’ death, the children created questions which they would want to ask Jesus and then thought about how he would’ve responded. #StGerRE 🧡Catholic Primary Partnership🧡 Birmingham Diocesan Education Service
Y5 created freeze frames and then short ‘episodes’ based on the text ‘The Island’. They featured two characters finding safety on a new island where they will find hospitality rather than hostility. These will inform their writing later this week. #StGerEnglish Literacy Tree
Which magnet is the strongest? Year 3 have been trying to find out using paper clips. Most children predicted the largest magnet would be the strongest. They soon discovered their prediction was incorrect. 🧡Catholic Primary Partnership🧡 #StGerScience STEM Learning

Year 3 know the Eucharist is an opportunity for people around the world to meet the risen Christ. Happy St George’s day! Y5 began their day by coming together in prayer to reflect on his life and how he inspires us. The Prayer and Liturgy leaders chose to sing the hymn ‘We are a shining light’ as he sets a shining example and we should do the same. #StGerPL #StGerCST 🧡Catholic Primary Partnership🧡
Year 2 shared a beautiful prayer and liturgy service this morning . They reflected on the life of St. George and compared his bravery to David when he fought Goliath. To celebrate the feast day of St George, prayer leaders led Year 6 in prayer. We learnt that as he fought for what he believed in, we can go forth and affirm our faith. Using resilience, we will also try to overcome the ‘dragons’ in our daily lives. 🧡Catholic Primary Partnership🧡 #StGerPL

As part of #WorldEarthDay2024 , Y5 learnt about plastic pollution and how it affects our world. For #WorldEarthDay2024 Y2 learnt about Climate Change. They learnt about what it is and ways that we can make a change.
