No fewer than four 'Yellow' Wagtails at the same site yesterday morning - one male Channel Wagtail joining a male Yellow in chasing two females in the air!

Also a big thank you to all the readers who have sent me lovely messages saying they've enjoyed my book. Summer is just around the corner so time to get those walking boots laced up and follow those old ways into the hills!

Something I'd appreciate. Anyone here who's completed a PhD by Published Works in Creative writing - as I cannot, globally, find anyone currently at work? I'd really appreciate a chat with someone. It's really about morale & self-belief. In that respect, I think I'm a bit stuck

Reform UK has been good news for Labour. But be in no doubt. It is a dangerous project. Today Ben Habib made absolutely clear that he would let migrants drown in the Channel rather than rescue them. Richard Tice should fire him - unless he agrees with him, of course.

Here is the clip of Reform UKโ€™s Ben Habib saying that migrants should be allowed to drown in the Channel. He has taken badly to being called out on it. Which is odd, because thatโ€™s kind of what happens in politics. Politicians get scrutinised.

This is a sound recording from this morning on Whixall Moss NNR. More of a soundscape as there are a lot of birds, a Cuckoo, Grasshopper Warbler, first Whitethroats of the year on the Moss, Song Thrush, Curlews, and more.

I've almost given up posting my pics on here, it's not a good forum, & I don't think many people see them any more, prob cos I'm not a regular 'poster' or 'commenter' (and that isn't going to change!). Anyway, this for anyone interested in a nice bird pic, preening Yellow Wag.

Superb piece on double standards๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ‘‡
- Angela Rayner will not be fined millions by HMRC unlike Nadhim Zahawi
- Has never been married to a non-dom (Sunak)
- Never used a pandemic to give public contracts to a mate, nor been fined by police

Rock, paper, scissors. The rock (the executive) encountered the paper yesterday (the judiciary). It fought the law & the law won. Seems itโ€™s not a contempt to stand outside a court with a placard proclaiming a principle dating back to 1670.

Good news.

has voted that is safe as a matter of law, no matter the facts on the ground.

That is now the law.

No one voted to give her this power for life. Boris simply put her in the Lords without any explanation.

How is this democratic ?
