The community in Banbridge has been left in shock by this senseless act of violence. There is no place for guns on our streets.

I’m grateful for PSNI’s swift action in making an arrest and would appeal for anyone with information to contact police immediately.

Thoughts with the Kingsmills families enduring ongoing pain and injustice over nearly 50 years. It is clear that this was a brutal, sectarian attack by the IRA. However, the families don’t have closure; many questions remain. Legacy policy must change.

Addressing the huge gaps in childcare provision in Northern Ireland must be a major priority. It can both relieve pressure on families, and open up opportunities for our economy and society.

This reply to me from the Treasury makes clear that the NI Assembly needs to act.

'People are having to choose between career and childcare and it's not in anyone's interest, least of all the child,' says Kate Nicholl.

We urgently need to see delivery from the Education Minister and commitment that this is not just words.

There isn't just a financial cost of division in our society, but a social cost as well, says Connie Egan MLA.

We need to see leadership from FM/dFM on a cross-departmental strategy for a shared future 👇

Today, Alliance MLAs are bringing forward a motion calling for the creation of a strategic framework for a shared future.

One aim is to tackle the cost of division, which could see savings used to tackle pressures in health and education and bring our society closer together.

I will always remember the afternoon of 2nd April 2011.

Ronan Kerr will never be forgotten in our house & in many homes across the country.

Ronan typified a new generation that embraced the future and hoped for better.

Ronan will always be a hero 🙏💔

Ronan Kerr never had to take on leadership at such a young age in the way he did. He could have done anything he wanted. But he did it anyway, knowing the risks, because he believed in Omagh and in protecting us and our peace.

13 years on from his killing, we are still grateful.

In at least some cases, these are children. This is grooming and exploitation.

It has no place in any community at any time.
