I spotted this photograph of comedian Harry Worth on FB, but what caught my eye was his real name and date of birth:

He was clearly named after the fight for Bourlon Wood at the start of the Cambrai Battle.

Following the Thessaloniki story of Jerzy Iwanow-Szajnowicz. Athlete, spy and #SOE agent. A true 🇵🇱 🇬🇷 hero credited with sinking two U-Boats and downing several Nazi planes by sabotaging their engines. Captured and escaped more than once, he was executed by the Germans in 1943
