5/ Which is interesting in light of his remarks today.

Humza Yousaf could have proactively chosen to do something about the Scottish convictions back in 2020.

And he cannot pretend to be unaware that the situation in Scotland was always separate to that in the rest of the UK.

4/ And here is the correspondence received by Humza Yousaf (when he was Cabinet Secretary for Justice) which Scot Gov was so reluctant to disclose in the first place.

3/ I asked for the FOI response to be reviewed, on the grounds that it was clearly inconsistent with the answer given in the Scottish Parliament.

Unsurprisingly, that review overturned the original FOI response. How could it not?

2/ So, a few weeks later, I was quite surprised to read this written parliamentary answer from Angela Constance (the current Cabinet Secretary for Justice) to a question from Russell Findlay.

It flatly contradicted the FOI response I had received.

1/ The curious case of Humza Yousaf and the Horizon scandal.

On 6th February 2024, I received this FOI response, in which Scot Gov unequivocally stated that Humza Yousaf never received any correspondence about the Horizon scandal when he was the Cabinet Secretary for Justice.
