On March 20, the provincial government released its 2024-25 budget. While the school division's operating funding has increased by 7.7% for 2024-25, this increase will not come close to addressing the significant increase in student need.

On April 5, the STF informed us that teachers will be withdrawing all voluntary professional services until further notice. This includes a restricted workday and withdrawal of noon hour supervision, extracurricular activities and other.​
