We did it! On Monday 25 March, the first passenger train stopped at the new platform at Dore & Totley station, marking the completion of the new track layout at Dore junction - TransPennine Express Northern 🚆 Network Rail Story Contracting

👷‍♀️👷Engineers from @networkrailscot and #TeamStory worked over the Easter weekend to demolish the Shields Road bridge in Glasgow.

Work now turns to rebuilding, with the team beginning piling for the foundations needed to support the new structure.

🦺 Our Environment Team recently undertook a Sustainable Construction Review of Middlesbrough Station. Some sustainability savings identified were:

✅ Approx. £49k saved through reusing materials on site
✅ 30,000Kg CO2e designed out
✅ 100% diversion of waste from landfill

👏 Last year our team completed works to protect the Grade II* Listed Smardale Gill Viaduct on behalf of our client, Northern Viaduct Trust

🦺 Works saw the team complete repairs to the concrete deck, install 344m of ACO drainage, and apply 1,285m2 of new waterproof covering to the deck

Our Story Scotland team are proud to be working for SSE Renewables at Bhlaraidh Windfarm, located in the Highlands.

🚧 This involves the enabling works for the installation of a new haul road and substation platform.

🏗️As part of our careers programme, we took fifteen Year 10 pupils to Story Contracting to learn about the different career routes they offer.

👏Our pupils expressed how insightful & educational the trip was, & how much they would love to work for the company in the future!
