Today I signed the Book of Condolence in Lancaster House on behalf of Iceland in UK 🇮🇸. HM the Queen will always be remembered in Iceland with respect and affection.

The greatest monarch of our times has passed away. H.M. Queen Elizabeth II will always be remembered and admired for her dignity and selfless devotion. On behalf of all Icelanders I send deep condolences to the The Royal Family, the people of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.

I want to relay our deepest condolences from the Embassy of Iceland to Royal Family, peoples of the UK, N-Ireland & Commonwealth on the passing of HM the Queen. She was a truly historic figure.

Congratulations Liz Truss on the appointment as Prime Minister, the third woman to serve as PM in Britain. I wish you the absolute best in office and look forward to working with you!
