Excited to see this review article Mackenzie Mathis, PhD, on Mountcastle's Cortical Columns hypothesis. Her excellent point: the field needs to seriously reconsider Mountcastle's theory. The work was a driving force behind our Thousand Brains Theory, and continues to inspire us today.
