A qu! Off to Winchelsea to see Polypodium cambricum again (March RPR target) & get spore sample as noted Sussex Botanical Recording Society Plant Atlas lists a P. x font-queri there. Does this hybrid have no spores, deformed spores. Not sure what I'd be looking for! Thanx Sylvatica Brad Scott
Dumortiera hirsuta (Fairlight Glen). Polypodium cambricum, Polypodium sp. prob vulagare & Umbilicus rupestris growing epiphytically on Fraxinus excelsior & abundantly on old walls (Winchelsea). On 01.01.24 on a BSBI: Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland #NewYearFlowerHunt I spotted a Daphne laureola in Goring in West Sussex. It had buds but was not in flower. I made a note to go back in a few weeks to see what it's flowers are like. I went back today. Pleased I did. Gorgeous. Sussex Botanical Recording Society
